Robins - Year 1 and 2
Welcome to Robins, our Yr1/2 class. Robins is taught by Mr Ash and supported by Miss Casey, Ms Francis-Nye, Miss Mitchell and Mrs King.
This term, our theme is Bright Lights, Big City and we am excited that we will be looking at London and learning about the first underground steam railway and Charles Pearson, who campaigned tirelessly for it to be built! We will be comparing rural and urban habitats and learning about the kinds of animals that live in urban habitats. Our class text is Paddington, which ties in beautifully and we have chosen a beautifully illustrated version, which will help inspire our writing this term. Attached are details of our learning for this term.
On a practical note, please can all children bring a coat to school each day and bring a second pair of shoes, or wellies to change into a lunchtime, to go on the grass. Little reminder of water bottles and book bags too.
